Retro Christmas DIY Fun
Today I’d like to share two DIY projects I recently created for Decoist! The first is a DIY Christmas centerpiece, shown above. Modern Retro Christmas Decorations
Happy Saturday, Everyone! I wanted to share a few snapshots from my holiday decorating endeavors! My Christmas decorating style has changed quite a bit over time, and for the last couple of years, it’s been all about the bright colors. I’m also a huge fan of mixed metallics, so my dining room is home to a trio of tabletop trees in shades of silver and gold. Here’s how it all came together in a modern take on retro decor…

Stay tuned for some fun blog posts in the coming days, from the Mirror80 Gift Guide to a book release from one of our favorite ’80s insiders. I thought I’d start the week by sharing some pics with you. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my place, and I’ve had fun decking the halls and the walls with retro-style decor that complements the space. Geometric art is abundant in our living room, so we wanted a tree with bright ornaments that celebrate the whimsy of ultra-colorful ’80s design. We enjoyed creating a timeless modern look that fit our home…

This year I decided to go all out with a full-on color explosion. And it’s funny how just a few bright touches do the trick. Since we’re in the middle of a neon revival and neon was a true ’80s trend, why not make it a fluorescent holiday? Read on for more details…
