Every day I come across new Memphis-style products, photo shoots and clothing items. I cant tell you how long I’ve waited to see 1980s design make a comeback on this level. Not to mention, geometry itself is one of today’s major design motifs (hello geo!), so it makes sense that the current creative climate would embrace all things Memphis–and reinterpret this design movement in delightfully unexpected ways!
Happy Monday, Everyone! Yesterday my hubby and I hit another amazing office park for installment 2 of Mirror80’s monthly fashion shoot series. Can you tell I’m a little bit obsessed with office parks, especially when this much glass block is involved?! The weather was a picture-perfect 80-something degrees, and the sun began to set while we were shooting. Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope it’s radiant. On that note, I’m in the middle of planning a new DIY project: neon necklaces featuring colorful minerals! Thanks to Etsy, ordering the supplies couldn’t be easier. The basics item needed for this project are neon cording and chunky minerals. The chunkier the better! Over the long weekend, I found an old Etsy gift card with a remaining balance of $12.57. For a few minutes, I wondered what I could possibly purchase with an amount so small, but my doubts were quickly put on hold when I searched for affordable ’80s art and jewelry finds.
