It’s a new week, and there are many fun things in store… Tomorrow is our next Retro Foodie photo shoot featuring some ’80s-style fall treats. Wednesday I head to Round Top and Warrenton, TX for one of the largest antique and collectibles events in the country. Yes, I’m hoping to score some amazing retro finds! And I also have a few design projects planned this week, which is why I ordered the two vinyl items you see above–for listening AND for framing (so I can get some visual art with ’80s flair in my entryway).

Have you checked out the new Classixx LP, Hanging Gardens? The group consists of duo Michael David and Tyler Blake, originally celebrated as DJs. Read more about the album here. Tracks like “A Stranger Love” featuring Sarah Chernoff and “All You’re Waiting For” featuring Nancy Whang have an ’80s pop sound. Above we see screen shots from the music video for “All You’re Waiting For.” Set on a yacht, this video can’t help but channel a bit of Goldie Hawn and her outrageous ensembles in the film Overboard. Of course, there are many modern updates! And it’s hard not to love the vocal stylings and always amazing fashion choices of former LCD Soundsystem musician Nancy Whang. Check out the video below…
