3D Illustrations by Anny Wang

October 14, 2014 by admin Leave a Comment

I recently came across the 3-D illustrations of Anny Wang, a visual artist, spatial designer and furniture designer currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her work is undeniably modern, and there is a fantastical element to her pieces, such as Golden, shown above. Some have a Vaporwave vibe, and some incorporate my very favorite elements: mirrors, marble and minerals. Her images are gaining popularity on Tumblr as well, and it’s easy to see why. Neon Jewelry

September 29, 2014 by Kate Leave a Comment

Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope it’s radiant. On that note, I’m in the middle of planning a new DIY project: neon necklaces featuring colorful minerals! Thanks to Etsy, ordering the supplies couldn’t be easier. The basics item needed for this project are neon cording and chunky minerals. The chunkier the better! I’m not going for a super polished look here–just one hunk of stone on a neon cord. I love the combination of vibrant cording and rough, colorful minerals. Read on for some of my favorite finds…

Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope your weekend was fabulous. Kate here, and today I’m sharing pics from a pre-Halloween gathering I hosted yesterday. My hubby and I invited our friends Gareth and Kristi over for an afternoon screening of the 1985 horror fave Fright Night. Yes, I’m aware that it’s still September. But it’s never too early to start celebrating Halloween. What’s not to love about a holiday that’s free of emotional baggage and promotes dressing in costume and consuming treats?
