An ’80s ceramic planter from Etsy shop Housing Authority
You may remember that a few weeks ago I was planning an ’80s DIY project involving a ceramic round planter. In fact, I hadn’t yet located one of these beauties and was hoping to find something like the Vintage Black Haeger Pottery Planter above! This week I found the planter of my dreams in a shade of blue-gray at a local thrift store. A styrofoam circle and some faux flowers should complete the look, and I’ve brainstormed a few possibilities below…
When it comes to an ’80s floral arrangement using faux flowers, one rule applies: The more faux the better! In other words, don’t be afraid to go over the top. Since my planter is in the blue-gray family, I’m thinking that shades of peach, cream, blue and brown may be just the ticket. And of course, I’ll throw in a couple of crazy colors to take it to a cheeky level. Above are some floral finds from Silk Flowers Factory to get the creative process going…
