Hey, kids! Back-to-school season is officially here! What’s an attractive ’80s gal (or guy) to do? Stock up on school supplies! Mirror80 has been a fan of Etsy shop Il Giardino Luxor for quite some time now, and today we feature an assortment of their ’80s-fabulous school supplies in honor of the fall semester. The shop offers a range of vintage finds, from pencils and erasers to binders and postcards. The best part: the ’80s graphic design motifs!
Let’s have a look at the first batch of goodies…
First we have a vintage 80s binder (above, left) featuring the red-headed Karina from the original paper/stationery series by Malipiero Italia. The item has never been used, and it can store those pesky loose papers, or hold photos if you fill the inside with plastic picture display sheets rather than notebook paper! Next, be a Super Star with a star-shaped fancy notepad from Hans Stationery (above, top right). Designed in 1984, this piece holds 60 light blue starry sheets to make list writing fun! Finally, check out the vintage heart-shaped eraser (above, bottom right), an ’80s piece you just might want to use as a pendant instead of a school supply! Here are a few more tempting items…
Top left: Set of 2 80s retro plastic paperclips, complete with a true ’80s font and neon style!
Top right: Set of 2 80s vintage Kirin Japan pencils that look good enough to eat! But you better not…
Bottom left: An amazing 80s yellow Bon Bon Cat sharpener featuring none other than Bon Bon Cat.
Bottom right: An 80s vintage pink and pistachio heart pencil case filler that can be used as a tray to display your writing materials. Yay!
A special thanks to Il Giardino Luxor for inspiring today’s post! These colorful treats are just what we need to take the edge off the Monday blues. Whether you work or study for a living (or both), Mirror80 wishes you a rad fall semester!
