Well, it’s been a minute! Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate. I also wanted to thank everyone who’s messaged and left comments over the last year. I’ve really missed blogging, as well as sharing art, photos and projects with you. It’s been an incredibly busy season of life. Many of you know that we welcomed a baby last year, but besides raising two young kids, there have been some extra challenges. I can’t wait to get back to celebrating retro design with you.
This year’s pumpkins were created with the help of my older daughter and involved some water-based neon paint, pearlescent paint, and star stickers. Our theme was “neon celestial”, and we simply had fun with it. We definitely let the colors and imperfections of each pumpkin show through. It added to the galaxy effect, right?!
Over the next year, I’ll be redesigning Mirror80, making it easier to navigate, and really turning it into a resource for late ’70s-early ’90s design. There is so much I want to share with you!! In the meantime, find other retro design enthusiasts in the ’80s design group on FB, which I moderate. I’ll be posting more regularly there. Thanks for sticking with me. There’s so much more to come!
I wish you a renewing, creative and beautiful Holiday Season!
