So Valentine’s Day is kind of a crazy holiday, right?! If you’re in love, awesome! If something’s off, not so awesome. Here’s a solution: dance it out. That’s why I created this Valentine’s Day playlist.
Not sure about where your relationship is going? Instead of apologizing for your doubts, own them like Lisa Lisa. Wishing you had someone special to celebrate with? Grab your friends and dance like The Human League’s Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley. Or take a break from romantic love and do something nice for someone else while singing “Give” by Missing Persons.
But there’s one rule…you can’t skip the last track on this playlist just because there’s not a music video to go with it. Do we have a deal?! You’ll thank me for this ABC tune later. In fact, you can keep the party going by following up the playlist with ABC’s The Lexicon of Love. The entire album is a journey through the challenges of love, complete with a slew of love and money metaphors. Before you do that, enjoy a slew of music videos that you can dance along with. Check out the entire playlist here.
Put this playlist on while you work out, at your next party, or in the background while you finish up the day’s work. Enjoy!
*Side note: the heart pattern featured in today’s visuals comes from an ’80s-style scarf I purchased at Sam Moon a few seasons ago. Yes, folks, affordable ’80s style is all around us!
Thanks for reading, watching and listening! If you’re a fan of playlists, subscribe to the Mirror80 YouTube channel for more music video fun! XOXO, Kate
