Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing some photos from my weekend beach trip. South Padre Island, Texas was the destination of choice, and my husband’s lovely family—who is now my family—hosted us in style. They found us the most amazing condo to enjoy, which was a prime spot for taking in the Friday night fireworks. They took us out to eat at delicious restaurants, gave us a tour of the island, and were all around amazing as usual. Here are some of my favorite photos, including this snapshot of our beach condo living room. And yes, that’s a teal sectional sofa! Could this setup be more fabulous?!:
If you’ve ever been to a Texas beach, you probably know that the water is sometimes brown, and the sand isn’t the prettiest. Not the case with South Padre! The water is blue in the sun, and silver in the mornings and evenings. The cloud cover below was the perfect excuse to go on a breezy morning walk:
And of course, I was obsessed with photographing all of the palms that dotted the landscape…
The island is covered with souvenir shops painted in bright colors. These photos were all quick drive-by shots from the car. And yes, the top pic features a shop that’s actually called “New Wave” (the proof is in the signage at the bottom left of the photo):
And speaking of drive-by shots…
Do I look relaxed?! Because that’s how I felt each and every time I lounged on that teal sofa underneath the tropical painting. And can you believe that brass lamp?! Pure ’80s design goodness:
Thanks for letting me share—hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
