Today I’d like to share two DIY projects I recently created for Decoist! The first is a DIY Christmas centerpiece, shown above. Faux greenery and shiny silver spray paint combine with glass ball ornaments to evoke a retro-fabulous statement piece that screams Art Deco, Mid-Century and ’80s, all at the same time!
Retro Christmas Memories…
Happy Holidays! This weekend I’ll debut the 2014 Mirror80 Gift Guide, but first I wanted to end the work week by looking back at some Mirror80 posts of Christmases past. See the festive pics above, then check out the links to the original posts below! And don’t judge too harshly on my less than stellar camera skills in some of these posts. It’s a good thing I upgraded my camera last year and am continuing to improve my photography skills ; – ) Nonetheless, it’s always fun to take a trip down memory lane…
Modern Retro Christmas Decorations
Happy Saturday, Everyone! I wanted to share a few snapshots from my holiday decorating endeavors! My Christmas decorating style has changed quite a bit over time, and for the last couple of years, it’s been all about the bright colors. Stay tuned for some fun blog posts in the coming days, from the Mirror80 Gift Guide to a book release from one of our favorite ’80s insiders. I thought I’d start the week by sharing some pics with you. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my place, and I’ve had fun decking the halls and the walls with retro-style decor that complements the space. Geometric art is abundant in our living room, so we wanted a tree with bright ornaments that celebrate the whimsy of ultra-colorful ’80s design. We enjoyed creating a timeless modern look that fit our home…
