While researching pastel interior design for another article, I came across images of sky-themed wallpaper, flamingos and other ’80s-fabulous motifs. To my surprise, the source of origin for these pics was a 2010 article from The Guardian! And it seems some of the featured products are still available for purchase. Because when you combine a pink bird with a Memphis-Milano color palette, it just doesn’t get any better…
As you can see in the image at the top of the post, cloud-themed wallpaper and pastel rectangles set the stage for an ’80s extravaganza. Our favorite part: the yellow tennis ball on top of the deep aqua towel! Turns out the bird is still for sale–check out the feeding flamingo by DZD. It’s artificial, but the feathers are real (and hopefully cruelty-free).
The ice cream palette continues with the image below. There’s even a little teal bird perched on the hot pink chair!:
