It’s been a very busy August here at Mirror80, but a chill month at the same time. Does that make any sense?! Somehow for me it does. Lots of great things happened—Mirror80 turned 5, I had the honor of featuring an amazing home tour here on the blog, and I took a little beach vacation. See what I mean by energizing yet chill? A Tour of My 1980s Kitchen
Hi Everyone! Today I’m sharing a tour of my 1980s kitchen (the house was built in ’81). Truth: the space has been remodeled since the 1980s, but there are still plenty of ’80s elements, like the garden window above the sink and the pairing of cream and black! When we moved in two years ago, this room became my very favorite in the house.

Mirror80 Turns 5!
On Saturday, August 15th, Mirror80 turned 5! To celebrate the blog’s 5th birthday, I mixed up a pitcher of fruity sangria, created a tropical party spread and celebrated with my nearest and dearest. This week at Mirror80 will be filled with fun, as I’ll be taking a look back at my 10 favorite posts, and I’ll be sharing a stellar home tour that will provide LOTS of design inspiration. An Interview with Rachel Simone Weil
When I first met Rachel Simone Weil years ago, we chatted about educational writing over lunch, talking little of our creative pursuits. As the years passed, I saw this talented artist, video game developer and design historian amass an amazing portfolio of work.
