A subversive metal head butler, a dinner serving of live rodents and a young woman’s transformation from a dutiful dinner party-goer to a rodent-like punk are highlights of this piece.

Needless to say, some love and preparation went into this shoot, from the color choice of the ceramics to the over-the-top floral arrangement. But the shelf’s final design evolution wasn’t quite as, well…pastel. Neon lighting–check. Glass block–check. Bright hues and geometric design referencing the Memphis-Milano movement–check. Throw in a dash of 1950s malt-shop, and you have the ’80s teen hangout in all of it’s glory!
