Over the weekend, the weather was beautiful, and for the first time this year, I felt that summer was truly on the way! While many people packed picnic lunches and headed to the local lakes, my hubby and I made a special visit to the…office park. Many of you know that I’m a bit obsessed with ’80s office parks. If not, perhaps this photo shoot will prove that fact. Or this shoot. Or this shoot. You get the idea…
This Austin office park includes several buildings, including a medical center, shown below. The overhang features a skylight-style roof with pyramid-like structures that combine with the nearby palm tree to create pure ’80s design goodness!
We drove around to the other side of the office park and had some fun photographing this angular building, which was built in 1985…
And here’s a little montage, which we wish we could set to music. Aren’t those triangular metal handles on the glass doors fabulous?!
And now: a close-up of my hubby’s shirt, which is new but evokes an ’80s miniblinds-at-sunset vibe!
Here’s one more building, which features a large angular window and some sleek metal railing (another ’80s obsession of mine):
Now if I could just get my living room to look like the lobby of one of these buildings…
