While die-hard Moody Blues fans may prefer the band’s earlier work to their mid-’80s tracks, songs like “Your Wildest Dreams,” “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere” and “The Other Side of Life” definitely have a special place in our hearts here at Mirror80. And it’s “The Other Side of Life” that we profile today. This video may as well be a performance art piece. Where else can you see a character lose his way in the back alleys of the city, only to see visions of himself in various helpless positions, including being fed head-first into the path of a rotating table saw? All the while, he’s pursued by a blue-haired beauty that may as well be from a Philip K. Dick novel. This is ’80s video magic, people…
By the way, how dreamy is Moody Blues lead singer Justin Hayward? But I guess the hero of our video was too busy to notice. He must have gotten distracted when a combat soldier, police officer, cowboy and football player all wearing masks of his face surrounded him on the dark street and tried to attack him. Good thing the woman with blue hair was there to bring him back to reality, all the while wearing a form-fitting black leather dress. Rarely does a great song by a legendary band combine with surrealist, sci-fi visuals in such a mind-blowing manner. Enjoy…and Happy Friday!

does anyone know who the woman is? I swear she looks like Stana Katic, sans the clear mole on her right cheek. This woman looks Russian, for sure.
