Today’s Friday Video Picks come from Australian rock band INXS. Plucked from the album Shabooh Shoobah, “Don’t Change” features a raw, guitar-driven sound, less sleek and processed than the band’s later hits. Which is why we love it. There’s an irresistible energy here, and the two videos featured today do not disappoint.
Let’s start with the first selection, which produced the screen shot at the top of the post. A plethora of grids remind us of the early ’80s time frame, and the performance (presumably from an Australian television show) will make you miss Michael Hutchence as much as the first days of MTV. We always embed our videos here at Mirror80, but we couldn’t resist sharing this piece with you despite the restrictions placed on its shareability! Which is why we encourage you to click on the link below to see the video:

And then we have the official video for “Don’t Change,” which takes place in an abandoned warehouse. Nothing can prepare you for the band’s powerful entrance in the back of a pickup truck and the moment drummer Jon Farriss gets the piece going with the clash of sticks on cymbals. Enjoy, and Happy Friday!:
