What a spring it’s been! Many of you know that we welcomed a daughter earlier this year, and we’ve been thoroughly enjoying every minute with her. Today I’m sharing some snapshots from a few of my most recent creative projects, starting with the streamers above (which graced a balloon at a recent fundraiser I helped plan). Bring on the retro-modern goodness!…
Next up: a couple of photos from our daughter’s nursery. We used a mix of primary and pastel colors. I created the artwork in the space (you may recognize the wall art in the next image as a representation of Michael Graves’ Plaza Dressing Table). Memphis-Milano design was a big influence for the style of the nursery! The crib mobile is from the Manhattan Toy Company.
Here’s a fun shot from a recent Michael’s shopping trip. Yes, I spend a lot of time at the craft store for DIY project and photo shoot supplies. This one ended up on Instagram:
I’ve also been enjoying creating projects and vignettes for Decoist. Here’s a shot from an upcoming post (I’ll include the link when it’s up and running). This confetti mix includes Disco Diamond Party Confetti from Bash. Don’t you love the name?! The whole Disco Diamond line is pretty darn amazing. So ’90s!
And in case you missed my recent Memphis-inspired Easter egg project, here it is (full project at Decoist).
I’ll be back next week with a brand new playlist! Until then, enjoy your weekend. If you celebrate Easter, I hope it’s a festive one, spent with the people you care about. XOXO, Kate
