Happy Monday–today should be a colorful one! A new week brings new possibilities, so I’m sharing Mirror80’s latest photo shoot. It’s a blend of Memphis-Milano style and sculptural totem forms, and I’m calling it Stackables. For awhile now, I’ve been creating tabletop totems at home. My favorite items to use in stackables: vases, bowls, and dollar store items (such as ping pong balls, rubber band balls and other sporty items).
The yellow and tan funnel-like forms you see in the images above and below are from IKEA. They were part of a set of modular containers, and they don’t seem to be available anymore, but you can view a picture of them here. I’m always on the lookout for interesting pieces that would work well in a stackable totem!
I picked up the pink and yellow bowls at Target last summer for a few dollars each. I love how easy it is to combine simple, affordable items to create something unique and zany. Thanks for letting me share my latest art project! What would you include in your stackable?…
