For last month’s London Design Festival 2015, artist Camille Walala created an array of vibrant products for Aria, adding a bold dose of color to the shop with items that ranged from furniture and pillows to ceramics and prints. Aria is still offering these works of art, and today we take a look at some of our very favorites! Above we see a variety of cube pouffes, which can be purchased alone or arranged in a group to create the ultimate lounge.

Next up is a trio of shelving selections, including the Walala Rectangle Shelf. These pieces were handmade in London by Walala and craftsman Dale Kirk as part of a limited-edition Memphis-inspired furniture collection. Below we see a few more Walala wonders, including the Walala Round Pouffe, Walala Islington Cushion, Walala Coffee Table and Walala Clapton Cushion:

Coffee must taste better in a Walala mug… And if the work of Camille Walala is new to you, you’ve no doubt noticed how she integrates a variety of influences into each piece, from Memphis-Milano to tribal art to op art. You have to admire an artist who references the past while creating something new, powerful and unique!

Be sure to check out the entire Walala in da House collection, which also includes items such as art prints and plates. Hope the rest of your week is a colorful one!

I love the colors in Camille’s new work. I have an old, tired wood shelf unit similar to the rectangle one pictured above. Those pics give me some great ideas to liven it up a bit. The shelf is built into the wall, and the wall is going to be part of the project. I just have to draw everything out.

Jan, let me know how the shelf turns out! I LOVE your idea. I’m in the process of re-doing a shelf as well and am considering using contact paper to create a design. Happy re-decorating to both of us!
