Today Mirror80 shines the spotlight on Hopper + Space, a London-based design studio and webshop offering everything from Art Deco and midcentury finds to postmodern and contemporary pieces. With selective eyes for clean-lined flair, Ben and Joe curate an impressive collection of items, including their own original creations, which pair beautifully with the shop’s 20th century offerings. Extremely knowledgeable about design and interiors, Ben and Joe also source, restore and reupholster 20th century pieces, providing custom service for residential and commercial spaces alike. And they’re not afraid to have fun in the process! Ready for a closer look?…

Ben and Joe don’t stop at curation. They’ve designed their own line of unique pieces that are perfect for retro eclectic spaces. The Hopper + Space Original Range features new furniture designs such as the BLOC sofa and BLOC club, inspired by modernist furniture from the Soviet era. Built in the UK, BLOC pieces are upholstered in British pure Melton wool. Not to mention, Hopper and Space notes that “The fabric colour, fabric type, leg finish and size of each piece can be tailored to suit your preference.” But what if you have a furnishing of your own that needs an upgrade?…
Hopper + Space can also source, restore and reupholster 20th century pieces through their Bespoke services, which allow Ben and Joe share their design talents in the custom realm. With their network of top-notch upholsterers and furniture restorers, they can bring out the best in your chosen piece, especially since they have access to a wide range of designer contemporary fabrics.
Ben and Joe note, “Whether you’ve seen a specific style or design you would like to buy or you are looking for some ideas as to the perfect piece for you, with our Bespoke 20thC service we will create it with you… We’ll help you decide on fabric, upholstery styling and detail as well as timber refinishing.” Here’s one more set of treasures from the shop:
