Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! On this day before the big feast, I’m preparing to host my very first Thanksgiving! Luckily I’m not in charge of preparing all of the food–just a few dishes. That leaves me free to focus on what I love most: styling the event. Above is an image of the table setting. Still working on getting the rest of the items on the table, but I wanted to share a snapshot of the prep phase. I made these curried cashews and left a favor bag at each place setting for guests to enjoy. You can read more about the yarn wall hanging here.
Above is a snapshot of my Thanksgiving centerpiece styling session, which I blogged about for Decoist. See the entire post here. Don’t forget to check out Mirror80’s still-life inspired Thanksgiving shoot for some last-minute foodie ideas. Tomorrow morning I’ll be throwing together these Prosecco and cranberry mimosas and this roasted grape and goat cheese crostini appetizer. Yum!
Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving or bringing an item or two to share, don’t hesitate to put your special stamp on the event, from sharing a favorite recipe to displaying a painted pumpkin. I wish you and yours a lovely day–both festive AND low-key! I’ll be posting pics of my Christmas decorating session at the end of the week. Until then, cheers…
