Ready for another ’80s art roundup? It’s been awhile since we’ve featured a collection of 1980s pieces currently for sale, and today’s batch explores the line between the tropical and the abstract. As it turns out, this line can easily be crossed–tropical and geometric art finds from the ’80s complement one another other quite well! Read on for a slew of fabulous finds…
At the very top of the post we have Collage I and Collage II by Steven Norte, featuring a marble motif and plenty of gold foil. These pieces are for sale through Etsy shop I Luv Belle Arte. Next we have an ’80s art montage that deserves a second look:
Let’s talk details! Image sources for the pieces above are as follows (clockwise from the top left):
Three Palm Cove by Margo Goodwill, from Prints and Posters Co; 1980s Muted Pastel Abstract (signed Jasper) from Mottervintage; 1980s Geometric Mini Poster Prints from I Luv Belle Arte (printed in the Netherlands by Alushine)
All of the featured sources are Etsy shops, making it super easy to order them! Ready for another find?
The poster above is one of 5 in a set of Holland America Cruise Line travel posters by award-winning illustrator Wilson McLean, available through Etsy shop My Blooming Nest. The posters were issued in 1982, and in addition to the Caribbean piece above, the other selections feature Bermuda, Alaska, the Trans Canal and Mexico. And now for our final find of the day…
It’s an abstract Keith Mallett print from 1988, available through Etsy shop Prints and Posters Co. Today’s lesson: when it comes to finding amazing ’80s art, Etsy is your friend. I also consistently find amazing pieces at Goodwill and other thrift stores.

I love Collages 1 and 2!! I have the perfect place in my home for them. They would look great in the study.

I love them as well! I actually ordered a couple of ’80s art pieces from that Etsy shop last month, and they arrived in beautiful condition, gold foil and all! I need to frame them now. Thanks for your comment!
