Weird Al Yankovic in the music video for “Like a Surgeon”
Folks, it’s been a crazy week! Tomorrow I’m having outpatient surgery. Not a big deal, but the paperwork and appointments involved have been a bit time consuming! I’ve actually been too busy to worry about the procedure, which is probably a good thing. When it sinks in that I’ll be on the operating table tomorrow, I’ll be watching this Weird Al Yankovic video for a few laughs…
I grew up listening to Weird Al. Yes, we were a Weird Al family. And this parody of Madonna’s 1984 hit “Like a Virgin” (that was obvious, right?) has many laughs… But by far the best part of the video is the end, which features Weird Al’s little tribute to Madonna’s dance routine at the end of the video for “Lucky Star.” Who would’ve thought that scrubs and black netting would go hand in hand? And you’ve gotta love the backup dancers… Enjoy, and I’ll be back next week with more time and energy to offer!
Big “Weird Al” fan here, too. He used to appear here in AZ at the State Fair, and I used to go to the fair on the day he was to appear. He is just too hilarious!! We have all his albums (took a while to find them all, but succeeded).
