Happy Thursday, Everyone! I recently joined the Fab bandwagon, and I’ve been loving the way this hit e-commerce company curates unique and interesting finds…like these AMAC boxes that have been manufactured since the ’60s. And as a child in the ’80s, I collected them with a vengeance, using them to hold stickers and other cute little items. Talk about eye candy–those perfect right angles, those vivid colors, that shiny exterior… Lucky for us, AMAC boxes never went away. We’re loving the way Fab has helped bring them to the forefront again by featuring a slew of finds for your shopping enjoyment!
So folks, many of the links in today’s post will likely be invalid in the next day or so, as these featured items are only on sale at Fab for a limited number of remaining hours. But if you don’t make it over to Fab in time, take heart–many of these AMAC boxes are regularly on sale at The Container Store, and of course, through the AMAC website!
We begin by checking out the 11-piece Classic Color Set designed by Gene Hurwitt, shown below (left). Above and below (right) we see the Original Color Set, consisting of 10 pieces–all M-Series boxes by AMAC. Did we mention that these bright receptacles are BPA-free?!
Now it’s time to have some fun with nostalgic color combinations! Below (clockwise from the top left) we see the Cascade Set in Hot Pink, the Retro Storage Set (plus a closeup) and the Retro Spring Set:
We end with a fun update of classic AMAC style: the 3-piece Rhombins set, designed by Eric Pfeiffer and Scott Herbst. Love those ’80s colors!…
Hope you have a neat and tidy day. With plenty of vivid color!

I collect these boxes too. I like the classic clear colors the best, and my favorite box is my big cobalt blue one. I have the cobalt blue in all sizes. The tiny cube is very cute, but they don’t hold very much. I still buy these boxes whenever I find them.

I just wanted to add that it’s fun to switch tops and bottoms to create different color combinations for the boxes.

You’re so right about mixing and matching the tops and bottoms! Thanks so much for sharing this great ’80s memory, Jan!

You’re very welcome. I’m one of those people who are “stuck in the 80s”. The best decade ever!!!
