Hi Everyone! As with many holidays, the decor of the Easter season can easily take on an ’80s look. Baskets covered with hues like teal and hot pink? Come on! A trip to Target is all that’s needed to create this ’80s-style Easter basket for the New Retro enthusiast in your life…
Here’s what you’ll need:
- a brightly colored Easter basket (a standard affordable wooden basket is perfect)
- Easter grass (we used a minty shade)
- metallic shred
- plastic Easter eggs
- an assortment of ’80s-style goodies (we used coil bracelet and Rubik’s cube party favors, as well as vintage teal bangles)
Simply fill the basket with the Easter grass and metallic shred, then line it with eggs and the treats of your choice! The coil bracelets and Rubik’s cubes were actually leftover favors from the ’80s party we threw to celebrate the first birthday of Mirror80! And yes, we bought them at Target. Good thing the ’80s are back…
We know that to many people, Easter is about much more than piling a basket high with consumables. However you celebrate the holiday, we wish you a vibrant, glorious one!
