Today’s Friday Video Pick comes from Peter Gabriel, who is known for his artistic, visually stunning music videos. “Big Time” was a hit from Gabriel’s 1986 album So. Wayne White served as the video’s art director, and he won a Billboard award for his work. We’ve featured White this week at Mirror80, noting his many amazing talents. Watch this video and you’ll see them in action…
Be on the lookout for:
* A constantly-evolving screen filled with colorful forms and patterns
* Quirky claymation by Bruce Bickford
*A disco ball, action figures and Ritz crackers… Can you spot them?
In fact, you could play a game of “I Spy” with all of the items (both real and animated) that are packed into this video. Enjoy the intricate details, and Happy Friday!

Great video. I loved that they used this song in the intro of "Inside Job", a documentary on Wall Street and the financial crisis.

I agree, Kim–great use of the song! Thanks for reminding me about those opening credits!

The animation is an imitation of Bruce Bickford’s style but he definitely did not animate this Peter Gabriel video. Peter Gabriel wanted the video to look like Bickford’s animation but never bothered to contact Bruce and rather hired someone who would be willing to imitate his work.
