What better way to usher in Fall than by watching a four-minute Bryan Adams video featuring “Face of the Eighties” Lysette Anthony running through Autumn foliage?! Yes, it’s “Run to You,” a video that may seem low-tech by today’s standards, but in 1985 was nominated for MTV Video Music Awards in five different categories!
Most of all, we enjoy the ’80s take on Fall fashion sported by model/actress Lysette Anthony (appearing near the middle of the video, also see above), who was given the “Face of the Eighties” title by photographer David Bailey. You may also recognize Anthony from Adams’ video for “Summer of ’69,” as well as films like Krull and Husbands and Wives.
Her style in today’s Friday Video Pick reminds us of the ’80s Fall look modeled by actresses such as Meg Ryan in the 1989 hit film When Harry Met Sally. You may remember those days of pairing sweaters and blazers with long skirts, tights, lace-up boots, and the occasional hat:
Enough talk! Enjoy the video for “Run to You.” Happy Friday!
