Fall Frames and Vibrant Colors

October 28, 2015 by Kate Leave a Comment

Clark frames in Scarled Tortoise from Warby Parker

If you’re a color lover like I am, fall is all about exploring rich tones rather than muted ones. In fact, there’s no rule that says fall can’t be an excuse to crank up the color rather than tone it down! Today’s post is dedicated to fall fun in all of its vibrant glory.

When Warby Parker invited me to participate in their FallSyllabus campaign by snapping some fall photos of seasonal style, I couldn’t help myself. I love a good photo shoot, and truth be told, I’m years (I won’t say how many) overdue for an eye exam. Finding frames I love is a good incentive to head to the optometrist so I can update my long-expired prescription and finally order glasses that I’m excited about…

What’s on my fall syllabus? For me it’s about reveling in the multitude of vibrant colors outside. I use fall as an excuse to revitalize my interior by bringing the outdoors in. You’ll notice a range of colorful natural items in today’s photos. The first two pics feature Warby Parker’s Clark frames in Scarlet Tortoise. Thank you Warby Parker Home Try-On Program, which allowed me to order my top 5 favorite frames and take them on a test drive at home so I could find my dream glasses. The best part: shipping is free! Ready to check out a few of the other frames I test drove?…

Above we see the Barnett frames in Quail Egg Grey. While the scarlet Clark frames at the top of the post stole my heart from the beginning, I was intrigued by these Simone frames in Blue Coral (shown in the photos below). In fact, they inspired me to celebrate another to-do item on my fall syllabus…try a new look!

A new look for fall

Here’s a beauty shot of the Simone frames:

And here they are as I have a little bit of fun with synthetic hair…

Simone also comes in the Tea Rose Fade style. I love the two-toned look:

But for me, the Clark frames were the clear winner. Now I have a reason to book that appointment with the optometrist! What’s on your fall checklist?…

A special thanks to Warby Parker and their Fall Collection for inspiring today’s shoot! Happy Fall!
