We spend a lot of time talking about 1980s style here at Mirror80, but today we’re heading back to the ’70s. Yet it’s different from past visions of the 1970s filled with orange, mustard and avocado tones. It’s the ’70s re-imagined through dreamy photographs, an abundance of plants, large mineral specimens, geometric terrariums, and wall hangings that look like something out of a sci-fi film. A new ’70s modern!
This ever-growing style overlaps with today’s popular Boho chic and geo design movements, and there’s definitely a clean-lined element that’s hard to ignore. Plus, there’s plenty of texture from sheepskin rugs and faux fur throws. You may have also noticed an overlap with certain ’80s design features, especially when it comes to the geometric shapes involved in this earthy, retro yet modern look.
