During the holiday season of 2016, Saturday Night Live featured a song-filled video titled “The Christmas Candle”. The premise: an out-of-season peach candle is “re-gifted ’round the world in just one day.” This video inspired today’s candle swap, complete with retro-style candles that channel the ’80s and ’90s!
The holidays are almost here, we’re getting ready to feast…it’s just a decadent time of the year, am I right?! So I thought this was the perfect time to share another music video playlist. This one is PACKED WITH DECADENCE, from the golden set of Simple Minds’ “Glittering Prize” to the food-heaped table of INXS’ “The One Thing”.

Taking inspiration from The Golden Girls (is there any other ’80s sitcom to reference for this holiday?!), the ambience is part tropical and part glitz, all capped off with a warm glow.

It’s exciting to be living in a time when it’s easy to get an ’80s look with new items. Today we’ve rounded up our favorites and grouped them by color: teal, pink and black. You know, because they’re quintessential ’80s colors and they’re all having a moment!

Fast forward 7 years, and not only are we in the middle of an ’80s design revival, it’s definitely going strong!
