Happy Valentine’s Day! Today I’m sharing a super quick, super easy cocktail that’s festive and not too sweet. Put an ’80s spin on this drink by serving it in a martini glass or a cut glass/crystal champagne flute. With a little prosecco and a jar of maraschino cherries, you’re set! Here’s how it’s done:
- Place one maraschino cherry in the bottom of a champagne flute (remove the stem)
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of juice from the jar of maraschino cherries
- Top off your drink with champagne, prosecco or cava
I used just one teaspoon of the cherry “juice” to get the peachy color pictured above. For a sweeter drink, simply add more cherry juice (4-5 teapsoons really kicks up the sweetness factor).
