Winter may still be in the air, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream about a beachy getaway. Especially if that getaway involves ’80s-style condos that are due for a renovation. We think they’re perfect the way they are! We begin with a condo in Crescent Beach, shown above. How can you go wrong with a sectional sofa, rattan furniture, and plenty of pastels?!
Below we see how black lacquer with Deco flair can take center stage, especially when juxtaposed with mauve upholstery. All four images come from the same vacation rental, and we’re loving the use of tropical patterns on bedspread and sofa, as well as the way the mirrors in the dining and living rooms rise to the level of wall art.
Our next featured Florida vacation rental brings two word to mind: green carpeting. Somehow it works, especially with all of that cream bedding in the bedroom. And cream furniture. And cream lamps. And cream drapes. Why not have the floor look like the top of a pool table? Seriously loving this one, folks, especially when you throw in the swimming pool at the complex…
To celebrate what might be the most delightfully unexpected find in all of today’s pics, we now feature a peach and blue tropical retro painting, shown below. There’s even a seagull in the artwork that truly steals the show… But don’t look too long at the art, because on the table we have a real gem–a faux floral arrangement in a circular ceramic vase (many of which can still be found at Goodwill today). In fact, I think I spot a DIY project coming on! And how is it that we haven’t talked about those couches and throw pillows until now?! Anyone else dying to replace the coffee and side tables with some glossy cylinders to finish the look? You just can’t beat this vacation rental:
We end with a Panama City Beach condo that celebrates the magic of rattan. And of course, mint green side table lamps that appear to have Deco flourishes. They almost make up for the ruffled mauve window treatments, but who are we to judge?!
We hope today’s breezy vacation rentals took your mind off the chill in the air outside… Happy Tuesday!
